Welcome Clinical Psychology Internship Applicants!

Applying for a Clinical Psychology Internship can be an incredibly stressful and time-consuming experience. This is a time for keeping organized and making thoughtful, but tough choices. As survivors of the internship process, we noticed the relative lack of up-to-date and user-friendly information on the web for students applying for internship. Recognizing this, we decided to create a website and resource for all graduate students (dont leave without getting a free copy of our internship manual ). We hope you find this information helpful and hope that this site provides some strategies for successfully navigating the internship process.

Now that it is getting closer to the summer you are probably beginning to wonder what this whole process is going be like. Dont worry, you have plenty of time.

In the next few months, intern applicants across the nation will begin sending more and more posts to the APPIC e-mail list. We monitor this list every year and notice the trends of activity. One piece of advice we would like to give at this point is to remember not to let yourself get caught up in the stress of this process; remember that other students might be overly anxious about completing the application process and going on interviews. This process is not as difficult as it might seem. Just remember that the key to having an enjoyable internship is finding the right match with your interests.

Feel free to explore this website and use the information posted. Bookmark this page and check back often as we will be adding more information on internship in the coming months. Contact us using the link below with your questions or suggestions for this site. Good Luck!
